Our July Artist of the Month: Matt JosefBorn & raised in Oklahoma, Matt has had his hands in creating art his entire life. He has spent more than fifteen years now honing his personal style, experimenting with a variety of techniques, mediums & subject matters. A self-taught artist, Matt has had over thirty studios throughout CO, NM, OR, OK, WA & AZ. Fluctuating between the subject matters of equine, southwestern, floral, abstract & modern. Matt is primarily a painter, intuitively composing works of art to capture emotion, reflect energy & blend the worlds of tradition imagery with contemporary abstract. Matt Josef’s life mission in three simple words; create, travel, impact. To create anything &everything that comes from within, without limitations of size, space or funding. That has been the dream since childhood. Experience through travel & adventure, fuel the inspirer behind the art. To get the art on the walls of homes, businesses, galleries & museums in every major art market & country in the world. The heart behind the art is to impact lives & make a difference locally & globally. To partner with organizations in everything from clean water projects, equine therapy, horse rescue, orphanages, art education, etc.. Matt is also working towards creating a unique foundation that will become a horse & art ranch in the mountains. To provide facilities, tools & resources to make dreams into realities for countless indigos. FREE shuttle service tonight from the parking lot of the Jerome Art Center.
Let the party continue the Saturday after New Year’s Eve with the January 6th Jerome Art Walk. The Shuttle Service stops here! Park at the Jerome Art Center and let the Shuttle take care of the rest. Visit our buildings and meet our artists before venturing up the hill. Take the convenient shuttle throughout the town to visit the galleries. We are the very first stop on your way into Jerome from Cottonwood/Clarkdale. Be sure to visit Robin Anderson and Margo Mandette in Building C, as they continue to amaze the public with their variety of offerings in this lovely and enormous space. Zach's Opening Reception begins at 5:00 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m. Don't miss this opportunity to pick up a limited edition, one-of-a-kind photograph from the artist himself.

Stop by and check us out! Our September, 2017, Featured Artist of the Month is CloudWalker Studio. Sally and Lauren Go Over the Pond! on a 7-week whirlwind tour of France, Italy and Portugal. An Art Sale to help the two gather inspiration, and merry-hearts along the way, will be happening on Saturday, September 16th, from 4 to 9 p.m. Stop by and enter the raffle of original artwork and enjoy original music by local musicians in their CloudWalker studio upstairs in building B. There is a lot going on at the Jerome Art Center! Plein Air Painter, Mark Hemleben, is our Featured Artist this month. "There's a magnificence in the still solitude of nature." Impressionist Landscape Artist, Mark Hemleben, captures the intensity in his plein air oils, documenting the change of light and the dance of shadows and colors. "Its vibrancy and harmony and splendor are what inspires me to capture the abundance of life and energy, the constant change of light and season." Join us this evening for the July First Saturday Art Walk from 5 - 8 p.m. We are located at the top of the first hill on the left-hand side of the road.
